FAQ

The ideal months to undertake the Char Dham Yatra are from May to June and September to October. During these periods, the weather is pleasant, making it conducive for travel and exploration. The monsoon season (July to August) is best avoided due to potential landslides and roadblocks.

There are basic homestays in local villages. These homestays offer cultural immersion, but with modest amenities. If you plan to trek to more remote or higher altitude spots, accommodation may be limited or absent; in such cases, carrying camping gear is recommended.

Essential items include sturdy trekking boots, warm layered clothes (especially for night and high altitude), rain gear, sun protection (hat, sunscreen), gloves, headlamp, water purification, snacks, basic medical kit, permit proof and identity documents. If traveling in winter or snow conditions, extra cold-weather gear is needed.

The camp welcomes families, kids, corporates, groups, and solo travelers. It’s suitable for all age groups, though families may check in advance for specific kid-friendly plans.
